Nordic Masculine Rituals

‘fragments of the hunt’

This photographic series documents rural hunting life in Sweden, exploring masculinity, Nordic traditions, and the fragile balance between modernity and tradition. Through images of landscapes, animals, tools, and rituals, the work reflects on the ties between human and non-human worlds. Emerging from my PhD research, it moves beyond documentation to become an artistic inquiry into culture, identity, and the lived experience of rural Nordic life.
